What is Static Odometer

Computerized static stabilometry is an exam that allows the measurement of the Body Center and its oscillations. It is a test that measures a person's stability. This exam assesses the fluctuations performed by the person in an upright position. MyPerfectPosture is a software that allows the management of the Nintendo WII Balance Board as a Stabilometric platform connecting it via bluetooth to the PC

The Stabilometric Exam

The Stabilometric examination in static means a survey carried out on subjects in an upright position, in bipodalic position, with bare feet, with the heels aligned and the feet spread at 30 °. The purpose of the Stabilometric examination is to evaluate the postural oscillations of the subject. The duration of the test can be set by the operator. The most used tests in stabilometry start from a minimum of 30 seconds up to 51.2 seconds. The data provided by the tests allow to measure the movements of the CoP (Center of Pressure). The fixture used is the stabilometric platform. For the patient it is a very simple exam.

The exam is simple for the patient but must be interpreted by professionals in the posturological field.

Several parameters are evaluated, two are very important: the Statokinesigramma and the Stabilogramma.

Statokinesigramma

is the graphic representation of the movement of the "CoP" pressure center (Center of Pressure) on the supporting surface.

MyPerfectPosture allows the visualization of the Statokinesigramma with the possibility of zooming on the graph.

Stabilogramma

is the graph of the coordinates of the pressure center as a function of time. The time is reported on the abscissa axis. These graphs allow you to see the fluctuations in the measured period.

MyPerfectPosture allows the visualization of the graphs of Antero / Posterior and Lateral oscillations

The load distribution

Our authors define that the load distribution between the forefoot and the hindfoot should be in the normal range of 40% on the forefoot and 60% on the hindfoot.

The load distribution (%) between right and left foot is considered normal when it is around 50% in both feet.

MyPerfectPosture allows you to measure the load distribution between the forefoot and the back foot and the load distribution (in Kg and%) between the right and left foot.
